The world of aviation is a mystery to most of us! How does an aircraft get up there, how does it get back down again and who looks after it during this feat of reverse physics??

John Campbell has been an Air Traffic Controller for the past 30+ years so he should know.
His knowledge of aviation, together with his dry Northern Irish sense of humour will give you an after-dinner speaker with a difference.

Be his co-pilot on your own private jet as you fly around the UK visiting various airports such as Belfast, Prestwick, Newcastle, Heathrow and Bournemouth learning what the control tower is actually talking about!

Like the time a lone Boeing 757 was taxying to the runway at the world’s busiest international airport, Heathrow.  What was said between an RAF controller and Newcastle approach control which made her blush, but she never realised!  How an American Airlines 777 mistook an Oceanic controller for his wife!   Desmond Tutu gets a mention as does the Reverend Ian Paisley and, of course, Ireland itself.  The London Air Traffic Control Centre at West Drayton and the new one at Swanwick are also investigated by John as his tongue in cheek travels continue.

Jumbo jet landing at london heathrow airport
a british airways 747 jumbo jet makes another routine take off from Londons heathrow airport, a regular sight for Londons Air Traffic Controllers like John Cambell, in stark contrast to the rare sight of a fighter pilot ejecting at an air display
